FreeSport Summer Sports Camp 2015 –‘Vale Brothers and Sisters’

Twenty young people, Vale students and their siblings, enjoyed 25 hours of free sport during a week long summer sports camp. Vale staff, working alongside coaches from Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Middlesex County Cricket supported students to experience a wide range of sports including swimming, table tennis, Sanjuro Martial arts, basketball, tennis, football, cricket and boccia.

Particularly popular were the sports wheelchairs. The project, jointly funded by the Mayor’s Sports Legacy Programme and Project Ability aimed to provide families of Vale pupils with high quality respite. Having siblings together  meant that games were naturally competitive as well as being great fun!

‘I loved playing games with my friends from school and my sister Gabriella. I did swimming every day and I let go of the side for the first time’    Davina, Year 8
