Vale COVID19 Risk Assessment 19th June 2020

19th June 2020

Dear parents and carers,

Please find attached below our school COVID19 risk assessment for your information - this addresses all the measures that we have put in place to make the school as safe as we possibly can for pupils and staff who are currently attending school.

If you have an agreed place for your child - key points:

  • - Please only bring/send your child in if they are well and everyone in your household is well and show no symptoms of COVID-19.

  • - If your child becomes unwell at school, we will ask you to collect them.

  • - Your child will be in a 'pod' or 'bubble' separate from other pods to reduce risks in school.

  • - If there is a case of possible COVID19 we will close the pod and all pupils and staff in that pod will need to remain at home self-isolating until the test results come back, as a precaution.

Please also note that the Local Authority SEND newsletter is available to view in the 'Latest updates' section; I would like to point out that government guidance for special schools is not related to year groups as suggested in the newsletter, but is dependent on the risk assessment for each child and discussions with each individual family.
