21/07/21 End of term update

September Covid-19 plan

As government restrictions lift outside of school school over the Summer, and cases are still rising, we intend to continue keeping all measures in place to keep the school as safe as possible. We will continue to follow our current school Covid-19 risk assessment in September, including adult masks in shared/small spaces, hand washing, distancing, ventilation and class bubbles. We will let you know if and when a positive case is identified at school and let you know if your child is a close contact. We want to continue to protect everyone, and are very aware of the vulnerabilities in our community, so we will proceed with caution and I thank you in advance for your support in helping to keep everyone safe.

To help further, we ask that adults in your household and if possible secondary aged students take a lateral flow test on Wednesday 1st September, and then twice weekly.

We will continue to test secondary students weekly where parents have given permission, starting Thursday 2nd September – we have successfully been carrying out weekly tests for some students in TG2,3,4 & 5 since March with nasal swabs and will continue to do so next term. If you would like us to test your secondary child rather than do this at home, we can do so, please let us know (see separate email to sign up to this)

Thank you for your resilience, understanding and support over this last year and best wishes for a happy healthy summer.
