Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope that all our pupils and families in TG2 had an enjoyable Easter break and are pleased to be back in school. Below is an outline of what your child will be experiencing and learning about during the Summer Term.

In Science pupils will be learning about the Earth, Sun and the Moon. They will explore how people live in space as well as the lunar cycle.

PSHE

Pupils will be learning about families and different types of relationships for example with carers and people who support the pupils.

Creative development: Music, Art and PE

During music sessions pupils will be working on their listening skills, start/stop abilities and responding to music through movement. They will also have music sessions with the Vale band.

Pupils will be having a weekly dance session as part of the pupils PE/Creative development. In PE sessions pupils will be developing circus skills and participating in activities to develop their balance and coordination.

In Art sessions the pupils will be continuing to develop their skills exploring different techniques such as shading. The pupils will be exploring abstract art as well as looking at shapes in artwork.

In RE pupils will be learning about ‘special stories’, what makes them special and how can they help us to understand the world we live in. In Geography they will continue to explore the local environment.

I look forward to seeing you at PSP and EHCP meetings. If you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully,
