Update 15/09/20 - guidance if your child has symptoms

Dear parents and carers,

It was so lovely to welcome back your children last week and we are delighted to see so many happy faces as we return to classes and learning.  The class bubbles are working well and keeping separate from other bubbles and we are all getting used to a new way of working to keep everyone safe. Washing hands, keeping 2m distance as much as possible and wearing a mask for close contact in bubbles.

Please help us to keep everyone safe

If your child gets any of the coronavirus symptoms at school we ask that you immediately come to collect them.

Here is a summary of government guidance:

If you or your child has coronavirus symptoms, please get a test as soon as possible. You need to get the test done in the first 5 days of having symptoms.

Coronavirus symptoms are:

  •       - a high temperature
  •       - a new, continuous cough
  •       - a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

Get a test online on GOV.UK.

If you have problems using the internet, call 119 to get a test

This service is currently very busy. If you cannot get a test straight away, or the location or time are not convenient, try again in a few hours.

Stay at home if you have symptoms

If you are getting a test because you have symptoms, you and anyone you live with must stay at home until you get your result. Anyone in your support bubble must also stay at home.

Please inform the schoool as soon as you have a result. If you are unsure about any of this, then do please let us know and we will help.

Best wishes,

Sarah McLay
